Ideal for laboratory and field use, our Philip Harris Potometer allows the student to measure transpiration with a minimal risk of breakages. The apparatus has only one glass component (the capillary tube) and is mounted on a strong backing plate. It consists of a capillary tube with millimetre scale connected via a 3-way tap to a syringe. The cut shoot is connected to the third outlet. The apparatus can also be used to measure humidity by connecting a porous pot to the third outlet. Dimensions: (L)150mm x (H)165mm x (D)80mm. Capillary tube Dimensions: (L)120mm x 1mm bore.
