Model UC150 is an analogue hotplate from Stuart with a glass ceramic top which has excellent chemical resistance. The surface is easy to clean and allows high plate temperatures for faster heating. The hot plate has microprocessor control and an innovative LED based true °C temperature setting system rather than simply a 1 to 10 arbitrary scale. A coloured LED indicator surrounds the heat control knob illuminating the actual surface temperature in real time. The unit can also be used in conjunction with the SCT1 digital contact thermometer to accurately control sample temperature rather than plate temperature. The 'Hot' warning light will flash whenever the plate temperature is above 50°C even when the hot plate is turned off and unplugged from the mains. The units also include BioCote® antimicrobial protection which reduces the presence of odour and stain causing microbes such as bacteria, mould and fungi on the product surface by up to 99.99%. Formulated from silver ion additives, BioCote® provides built-in antimicrobial protection to support a more hygienic laboratory environment.
